Science Technician – Part-Time (2 Days/Week)

• Location: Tewkesbury
• Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Initially until end of November, with potential to extend
• Pay Rate: £14 per hour

We are currently seeking a Science Technician to support a busy secondary school science department in Tewkesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a school lab environment, particularly suited to graduates, students, or those with a background in science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical science lessons
• Assisting teaching staff with demonstrations and experiments
• Ensuring the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and equipment
• Maintaining lab cleanliness and safety standards
• Supporting with stock checks and ordering supplies
• Following health and safety protocols at all times

Ideal Candidates Will Be:

• Science graduates or current science students (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related fields)
• Organised, reliable, and proactive
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Familiar with basic lab safety procedures
• DBS checked or willing to undergo a DBS check
