Salary: £15-18 Per hour

Hours: Full Time, Permanent

About the role:

Are you passionate about science and keen to support the next generation of scientists? Complete classroom services are seeking a dynamic and well-organised Science Technician to join a school that is supportive and forward-thinking Science in Department.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring high-quality science education for our students. The successful candidate will support the delivery of practical science lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and SEN school we are working with to maintain a safe, well-resourced, and engaging environment for both students and teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up equipment, materials and chemicals for practical science lessons
  • Support teaching staff during practical lessons and demonstrations
  • Ensure safe storage, maintenance, and disposal of equipment and chemicals
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and adhere to all health and safety regulations
  • Keep accurate inventories of stock and place orders when required
  • Assist with the organisation of displays and resources for open evenings and science events

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have previous experience working in a school (preferred)
  • Possess good knowledge of safe lab practices and COSHH regulations
  • Be organised, reliable and proactive with strong attention to detail
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Hold a science-related qualification (A-level or higher desirable)
