Chemical Process Operator

Location: Royston - A short walk from train station so can be accessible to those that do not drive

Shift Pattern: Rotating late and night shift (shift premium payable)

Our client, a very well established manufacturing company based in Royston is seeking a Chemical Processing Operator to join their busy production team. This is a Temp to Perm role and an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regulated manufacturing environment where quality, safety and precision are key.

The role

You will support the production of components within the chemical processing area, ensuring all work meets strict customer specifications and internal quality standards. The successful candidate will play an important role in achieving quality, cost and delivery targets.

What you'll be doing

  • Manufacture components using chemical processing techniques in line with customer specifications and quality procedures
  • Accurately interpret and complete production route cards
  • Maintain high quality standards while meeting delivery targets
  • Consistently follow Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures, including accurate completion of data cards
  • Participate in team-based activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management

What you'll bring

  • Comfortable working with hazardous substances while maintaining high levels of concentration
  • Capable of working independently with limited supervision, delivering accurate and timely results
  • Confident performing simple mathematical calculations
  • Computer literate, with familiarity in Excel spreadsheets
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety standards
  • Reliable team player with good timekeeping
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime and rotating shift patterns
  • Physically fit and in good health, as the role involves lifting items of varying sizes and weights
