Science Technician - Secondary School

Location: Hounslow

Practical science lessons are essential to student engagement and achievement. Secondary schools rely on skilled technical staff to deliver these safely and effectively. We are seeking an organised and reliable Science Technician to support a busy science department.

The Role

You will work closely with teaching staff to prepare experiments, manage laboratory resources, and ensure a safe learning environment. This role is ideal for someone with a science background who enjoys working in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and clear away equipment for practical lessons
  • Support science teaching across multiple disciplines
  • Ensure laboratories meet health and safety standards
  • Monitor, store, and order science resources and chemicals
  • Maintain equipment and report faults when necessary
  • Assist with demonstrations and practical activities
  • Follow school safeguarding policies

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Friday, standard school hours
