Full Job Description
We are seeking applications from graduates in physical science, materials science or chemistry in order for them to join our customer, the designer and manufacturer of specialised manufacturing equipment in the Didcot area whom also design nanotechnology coatings.
This person will perform scientific experiments in their lab alongside the wider team and report findings relating to the nanocoatings they create.
Essential Requirements:
- Physical Sciences/Material Science/Chemistry degree
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge in materials science, physics, and/or chemistry, with a preference for expertise in physical/material sciences.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a project team and establish strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Capacity to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including safe handling of chemicals, with minimal supervision.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
- Motivation to achieve practical results and adaptability to evolving requirements.
- Professional and positive attitude towards all tasks and directives from supervisors and project managers.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize critical ones.
- Keen attention to detail and proactive initiative.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute ideas to technical discussions and debates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in product development, process improvement, and/or R&D.
- Familiarity with writing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Workshop experience.
