Product / Administrative Assistant - Food Ingredients - Maternity Cover
Chertsey Office Based 2 Days Per Week / Hybrid Working
£28,000 - £32,000
Plus Significant Benefits Package Including Company Pension

Your Skills: Admin, Business Ops, Business Development, Product Management, Relationship Building, Excellent Communication, Organisation.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Assistant to join our Food team. You only have to wander down the supermarket aisles and look on the back of your favourite product or brand to see the long list of food ingredients that we supply. We work with a number of leading food brands in the UK/Europe and help them to develop innovative new retail products which you will soon see on supermarket shelves.
As Product Assistant, you will support the Product Management team in the tactical activities required for developing product portfolios for the ingredients we supply. You will assist the team to achieve growth targets, while keeping in alignment with other parts of the business including the local Sales, Customer Services, Supply Chain and Regulatory teams.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Managing the new supplier set-up procedure by coordinating all data received
+ Managing the product code set-up procedure from beginning to end
+ Establishing and maintaining good relationships with the direct team and the wider business
+ Assisting the Product Management team in responding to technical information requests and market information from sales teams
+ Supporting a portfolio of products through supplier coordination and interface with stock, operations, customer services and sales teams
+ Guided by the Product Managers, chasing up projects and sales opportunities
+ Coordinating and monitoring complaints and samples
We Are Looking For:
You might have previous experience in a admin, sales or a business development environment or perhaps you are a graduate seeking a career pathway into junior product management.
Either way, it is most important that you are:

+ Motivated
(Any experience in the Food Industry or Food Science background would be a bonus, but not essential.)
