Remuneration: £25,000 - £33,000 + bonus

The role of the Specification Technician - Flat Roofing Systems will involve:

• Specification Technician position dealing with various flat roof systems such as; felt roofing, green roofing systems, bitumen membranes, hot melt roofing, cold liquid applied waterproofing, waterproof roof coatings, single ply, structural waterproofing etc
• Checking incoming specifications against client and technical requirements such as sustainability and compatibly
• Reviewing roofing survey reports
• Providing technical advice to clients and Area Technical Sales Managers
• Carrying out calculations relative to waterproof design (thermal performance, drainage, wind loads, and PV)
• Fielding inbound technical enquiries via telephone

The ideal applicant will be a Specification Technician - Flat Roofing Systems with:

• Ideally will have a Technical background within the flat roofing / waterproofing market sector
• Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
• Would consider architects, architectural technicians, surveyors, draughtsmen etc
• Ideally will have a construction related degree
• Strong technical skills
• IT literate (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
