Independent Forgings and Alloys are on the lookout for a Transport Administrator to join our Logistics Team.

Responsibilities
As our Transport Administrator, you will create and manage shipping paperwork from our internal system, physically check outgoing orders prior to creating paperwork and liaise with production control for all orders ready to ship. Liaising with the packing department to ensure the correct data is uploaded, you will identify potential packing problems using data provided from the system. You are a key part of the team to ensure that all orders are met in full and on time.
You will also support the rest of the Logistics team with various tasks, from providing quotations on shipments and arranging cargo movements, to coordinating UK shipments using internal drivers and vehicles. This is an incredibly varied role!
Who are we looking for?
We would like our Transport Administrator to have at least 1 years’ experience within a Logistics manufacturing environment and will be comfortable dealing with both Imports and Exports. Knowledge of packaging requirements for overseas shipments is essential and basic knowledge of INCO terms 2010 / 2020 would be desirable.
With the ability to both take instruction and work on your own initiative; you will be an excellent communicator and will have strong IT skills.
