Accounts Assistant
- Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join our clients Finance team. This role involves working closely with the accounts team and other internal departments to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Day to day of the role:
- Review Sales Products for accurate descriptions and other sales items.
- Maintain the SAP Item Master Database, ensuring it is up to date with current item lists.
- Align Production Data with shop floor requirements and fields.
- Verify Commodity Codes for export shipments are correctly filled in.
- Ensure Q&A data is accurately filled in for hazardous/chemical details for freight and Health & Safety compliance.
- Update Purchase data to ensure correct lead time on MRP for accurate forecasting.
- Assist with Purchase and Sales Ledgers by posting entries, reconciling ledgers, and running reports.
- Manage corporate credit card expenses, ensuring timely upload and accurate coding of costs to cost canters.
- Review and distribute cost centre reports to internal departments.
- Assist with Cash flow Analysis by reconciling cash book and cash flow reports.
- Carry out any other ad hoc duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GCSE’s in Mathematics and English are essential.
- An accounting qualification is desirable.
- Training will be provided as required.
- Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar position is desirable.
- Knowledge of SAP is desirable.
- Computer Literate with knowledge of the Windows operating system.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- An analytical approach to problem-solving.
- A good thinker and active listener.
- Good time management skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn about new processes.
