Title: Mobile Water Technician

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 - The salary on offer that is made is to be dependant upon the candidate's qualification and experience.

Location: South London - This is a field based, mobile position covering West London

Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a Mobile Water Technician/Water Hygiene Engineer in South London to complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements.

The Role:

• Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8. This is a mobile role, travelling to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance.
• To be an ambassador for Mitie whilst visiting customers sites.
• Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy.
• To take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures.
• Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures.
• Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required.
• The ability to complete works on heating and chilled water systems and chlorine dioxide systems is desirable but not essential.
• To communicate on a daily basis to the service department that all tasks are carried out efficiently.
• Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary.
• Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible is kept clean and is properly maintained.
• Can you take a personal responsibility for your own health and safety and the safety of those around you? You will be required to follow safety procedures as per company policy and any site-specific or additional client requirements.
• Completing any reasonable task requested by your manager and / or the business.

The Candidate:

• Someone with previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential.
• Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable.
• Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes are necessary.
• The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required in every part of this role.
• You will be required to work alone and as part of a team and should thrive in both environments.
