Role: Chemistry Technician

Location: Kettering

Hours Of Work: Monday-Friday 6am-2pm. 37.5 hours.

Basic Salary: Upto £25000

Additional Benefits: 25-20 days annual leave (service related,) Personal Pension Plan, Free parking.

Our client is looking for a chemistry technician, to work in their laboratory facility based in Kettering, Northamptonshire.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will be expected to carry out the following:

• Routine chemical resting to standard procedures within an accredited laboratory environment
• Calculate and record results and observations in an understandable manner
• Routine analytical equipment maintenance tasks
• Complete and maintain personal training records
• Work to deadlines
• Be able to work independently and as part of the laboratory team

Key Skills Required:

• You will possess GCSE or equivalent in English, Maths and at least one science subject at Grade C or above
• You should be familiar with MS Word and Excel
• Have good attention to detail and thoroughness
• You should be highly motivated, reliable & flexible
• Be able to follow instructions accurately
• You should have good teamwork skills
• Be experienced at meeting deadlines
• Possess enthusiasm and a helpful attitude
• You will need good time management, organisation and communication skills
• Full training will be provided, although previous laboratory experience is desirable.
