Laboratory Technician

As the Laboratory Technician you will be degree educated in Chemistry or a related field. You will also have experience working within a polymers or coatings manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, prepare, and test samples to ensure quality.
• Conduct and support scientific investigations and experiments.
• Demonstrate procedures and guide others in the lab.
• Maintain, calibrate, clean, and test the sterility of lab equipment.
• Perform risk assessments and maintain stock and resources.
• Plan, set up, and carry out controlled experiments and trials.
• Provide technical support and present results to senior staff.
• Record, analyse, and interpret data with accuracy.
• Write comprehensive reports, reviews, and summaries.

What They’re Looking For:

• Degree educated in Chemistry or a related field, preferably with a focus on Polymer Science.

• Ability to learn and operate sophisticated lab equipment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• A team player with effective time management skills.
• Previous laboratory experience in a polymers manufacturer.
