Role – Process Operator role
Location – Mildenhall, Suffolk
Working hours –
Week 1 Monday to Thursday 0715 to 1930
Week 2 Monday to Wednesday 1930 to 0715
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – £25,000 - £28,000 per annum
Our client is a reputable and well established business who is looking to expand within their production based team.
Candidates will ideally need to have previous experience in a similar position
Main duties will include -
Organise and carry out the manufacture of batches in accordance with the set procedures.
Report to the Production Shift Supervisor as appropriate to ensure that any changes to production requirements are implemented and that any plant delays or problems are communicated.
Liaison with Production Shift Supervisor to ensure that raw materials required are available on the plant and that final products are correctly labelled and despatched to the warehouse
Organise and carry out the packing of non-bulk powders in accordance withthe set procedures, in order to maintain Production requirements.
Organise and carry out the packing of liquids to kegs, drums and IBC’s in accordance with the set procedures, in order to maintain Production requirements.
Organise and carry out the acceptance and transfer from road tanker to storage vessel of liquid raw materials delivered in bulk in accordance with the set procedures
Organise and carry out the release and transfer of bulk finished product or waste from storage vessel to bulk road tanker in accordance with the set procedures.
Liaison with Production Shift Supervisor as appropriate to assist in ensuring that the fork lift truck requirements of the plant are met, i.e. to ensure that Raw Materials / Intermediates required are available on the plant and that Finished Products are promptly transferred to the designated storage area.
Ensure that good standards of housekeeping on the Site are adhered to at all times
Liaison with Production Management and Engineering to ensure that any equipment breakdowns are reported and rectified as rapidly as possible.
Ensure that all paperwork associated with manufacture and packing of batches is completed correctly according to Company procedures.
Ensure that all labeling requirements associated with manufacture and packing of batches is completed according to Company requirements.
Ensure that all Quality Standards which apply to the job are maintained at all times
Work at all times within the requirements of the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy.
Undertake other reasonable duties within the department as may be required from time to time.
Candidate Attributes -
Must be literate, numerate, able to communicate clearly and follow both verbal and written instructions accurately and consistently.
Will preferably possess a formal qualification in science (preferably chemistry) such as GCSE or HNC although acquired knowledge through experience in the chemical industry is acceptable.
Preferably some experience of the operational requirements of a manufacturing environment, or an ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of the key issues.
Preferably some knowledge of COSHH and the Health & Safety at Work Act.
Ability to drive, or be trained to drive a forklift truck.
