Job Title: CAD Technician
Location: Rushden
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £27,000
A leading player in the Chemical industry, is currently seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join their dynamic team. The role is to increase and enhance the drawing capabilities of the company, ensuring all drawings, layouts and 3D models delivered comply with the required standards. The aim being to assist in making the company first choice and the default partner for our clients.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and technically proficient individual who has a passion for CAD design and a desire to contribute to the success of a reputable organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the drawings folders, the competitor portfolio, and CAD block templates to make files available for the Sales and Projects teams.
- Produce 3D and 2D layouts for key opportunities pre-sales and for projects post sales in accordance with client and main contractor requirements.
- Produce designs for use with virtual reality headsets or 3D walkarounds to promote products at marketing events.
- Liaise with architects, consultants and constructors ensuring compliance with working at BIM Level 2.
- Production of graphic materials for marketing purposes, working with the Marketing Manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CAD Technician, preferably within the chemical industry.
- Proficient in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex information.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide technical support.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks within given deadlines.
