Job Title: Powder Coat Operative

Hours: Backshift between 3.15pm - 01.15am

We are hiring for a Powder Coater to undertake the preparation and application of paint on products of varying sizes in Leicester. This role involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, contributing to the production of high-quality products for on-time delivery to customers.

Duties of a Powder Coater:

• Preparing products using techniques such as shot blasting, surface cleaning, sanding, and filling imperfections.
• Loading products onto the paint line and applying primer and powder coatings using electrostatic techniques.
• Mixing paint elements and setting ovens for curing.
• Performing post-production quality inspections.
• Using hand and power tools to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Logging job times and reporting daily progress to the line manager.

Skills and Experience of a Powder Coater:

• Powder coating and paint mixing.
• Using hand-powered tools.

It would be beneficial if you also had:

• An understanding of engineering job packs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A self-motivated, detail-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality.
