Join Our Client's Team as a Process Operator!

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Process Operator to join our Client's team at the Wastewater Treatment Works in Wigan. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the wastewater treatment processes run smoothly and effectively, safeguarding the environment and the health of our communities
Details:
- Job: Process Operator
- Client: United Utilities
- Hours: £16.04per hour PAYE - Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00
- Address: Wastewater Treatment Works andsite visits around the area
- Contract details: 6 months contract, with a possibility to go permanent
What will you do?
- Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater and odor control equipment and facilities.
- Operate, monitor, and maintain biological, chemical, mechanical, and hydraulic processes at wastewater treatment plants, collection system pump and regulator stations and associated facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Collect and analyse water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of operational data and report any anomalies or issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational problems.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
What will youhave?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in wastewater treatment operations, understanding of wastewater treatment processes and equipment are an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a rural setting and adapt to varying work conditions
