As a CNC Setter Operator, you’re not chasing targets or cutting corners. As part of our team, you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-precision components for critical industries such as nuclear, defence, and oil and gas.

It’s not just pressing buttons; you’ll be setting and operating CNC lathes using 2 and 3 axis Fanuc controls.
You may be working on conventional CNCs, Twin spindle and twin turret, Doosan’s, Biglia’s and sliding head machines, machines that are maintained properly, with everything you need to do a good job.
As a CNC Setter Operator, you’ll be involved from the start of the job.
- Completing full machine set ups on various types and sizes of machines.
- Working with exotic materials.
- Editing programmes when needed. Checking everything is to the required standard.
There’s a team of engineers and programmers around you, but you’ll be trusted to get on with things and do them properly.

Setter operators need to be competent in reading drawings using measuring equipment i.e. verniers micrometres thread micrometres calliper gauges ring gauges and working to tight tolerances also working close with inspection.

For the day shift:
- Competitive hourly rates
- Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm
- Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm
- Overtime available at time and a half and double time.
- 26 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays

For the night shift:
- Competitive hourly rate
- Monday to Thursday 6pm - 6am ( Finishing Friday Morning at 6am)
- Night Shift Allowance of £3ph
- Overtime available at time and a half and double time.
