Job Title: MO - Facility Services Operator

Location: York

Contract Details: Temporary, 6 months

Salary: From £13.19 per hour plus 150% OT

Responsibilities:
As a Facility Services Operator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the cleanliness of rolling stock at designated locations. Key duties include:

• Cleaning allocated rolling stock according to the production schedule
• Performing external cleaning of trains manually
• Using brushes or compressed air for driveline systems
• Assisting with fuelling, tanking, and the operation of Controlled Emission Toilets (CET)
• Reporting any defects to the Supervisor
• Following site-specific cleaning guidelines for underframes
• Collaborating with colleagues to complete tasks efficiently

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Strong communication skills in basic English
• Knowledge of Health and Safety practises, including COSHH
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals
• Ability to work effectively in small teams
• Willingness to be on your feet for most of the shift

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

• Experience in a cleaning or facility services role
• Previous exposure to transport or logistics environments

Technologies:

• Understanding of cleaning equipment and safety protocols
• Familiarity with basic operational procedures in facility maintenance
