This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a successful research team.
The role is laboratory based and candidates are expected to have several years’ experience in research and project management.
Qualification and Skills:
- Scientific degree (chemistry, material science, mechanical engineer physics or related), PhD would be preferable but not essential.
- Several years industrial experience in chemistry.
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment.
- Previous experience in regulatory and quality systems would be advantageous.
- Experience in working with electronic systems, such as sensors, testing equipment or chemical process development.
- Experience in electrochemical cell setup
- Experience in materials or metallurgical research
- Experience in research with large data sets
- Experience in materials characterization
The successful candidate will be involved in designing and conducting experiments related to existing high temperature electrochemical testing setup. Also, improving and maintaining the existing testing setups.
The Material Scientist will have the following attributes:
- Creative approach to problem-solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- An ability to organise work on own initiative and prioritise own work in response to deadlines.
- Flexible attitude.
- Highly self-motivated and disciplined.
- willing to work as part of a team and undertake any necessary training for the role.
