Job Title: Administrative Assistant - Chemistry Background
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with an A Level in Chemistry (or equivalent qualification) to join our team in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a scientific background who enjoys working in a structured office environment and supporting operational functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the technical and operations teams
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to chemical data and compliance
- Assist with scheduling, reporting, and internal communications
- Liaise with suppliers and clients regarding chemical-related queries
- Support health & safety and regulatory documentation processes
- General office duties including filing, data entry, and correspondence
Requirements:
- A Level in Chemistry or equivalent scientific qualification
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
