Cogent Skills is working with Kemira Chemicals (UK) Ltd to recruit an Apprentice Business Administrator to work at its production plant in Goole. The Business Administration Apprentice will assist in providing a wide range of Administrative support services. Qualification Requirements
5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) grade A*-C (4-9) including Maths and English

Location -Goole, Yorkshire
Working Hours
35 hours per week: 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, with 1-hour unpaid daily lunch break when not on release at the training provider

Job Description
The Business Administration Apprentice will assist in providing a wide range of administrative support services across the Kemira Goole site and wider organisation.
Duties will include:
- To assist with general reception duties, post, filing, answering the telephones
- Work with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- Checking of stock movements
- Provide a wide range of administrative services to support the Executive Assistant Team
- Assist with travel and meeting arrangements
- Customer service – to liaise with colleagues and external contacts
- Provide support for visitors both internal and external as required
- Assist with the planning and organisation of site wide events and department specific events
- Flexibility to support different areas of the business
- Assist with promoting the Administrative Network throughout the wider organisation
- To undertake billing and related functions including the timely and accurate distribution of invoices, maintenance of records and files
- Checking and approval of invoices.
- Any other duties that may be assigned.

Training To Be Delivered
Qualification to be delivered: Level 3 Diploma in Business administration
Apprenticeship Standard: Business Administrator
Training Provider: CMS Vocational Training
Delivery model:
- Online delivery
- Remote 1:1 support every 5 weeks
- Reviews with learner and line manager every 10 weeks
The Apprentice will receive a minimum of 20% of their training away from their day-to-day job. This external training will be delivered either on a day release basis or onsite by the training provider and will result in the Apprentice gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration.
The Apprentice will gain transferable core skills and knowledge. In addition, they will gain skills specific to the working practices of Kemira.
Future Prospects
Potential of a future business administration role within the organisation once the apprenticeship standard is completed, with the opportunity to undertake further professional qualifications. Apprentices may be eligible to annual wage increments subject to company budgets and satisfactory completion of goals.
Things To Be Considered
You cannot hold a Level 3 Business Administration qualification
Kemira Chemicals UK Ltd and Cogent Skills are working together to deliver this Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will be employed by Cogent Skills but will be based at the host employer offices at Teesport.
You must be willing and able to travel to the place of work (and local college/training provider) to meet the work times stated. Please ensure you check out travel options to be able to commute to the workplace.
Times of work may vary and may, on occasion, require a limited amount of overtime.

There are four UK manufacturing sites manufacturing water treatment chemicals. The Apprentice would be based at the Goole site, which manufactures ferric sulphate.
