We’re looking for a hands-on and dependable Production Operator to join our coatings department in a full-time, temp-to-perm role. You’ll start on a day shift while learning the process, then transition into rotating shifts. This is an exciting opportunity to join a precision-focused production environment.

You’ll be based in a production facility that includes heavy lifting equipment, coating chambers, and process chemicals, with some outdoor exposure. All work is carried out to high industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, Nadcap), so precision and compliance are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out secondary contract reviews
• Prepare components (cleaning, blasting, masking)
• Load work efficiently using jigs and fixtures
• Set up and maintain coating chambers
• Perform load testing and inspect results
• Review data logs for quality control
• Pack and dispatch completed parts

Additional responsibilities include:

• Following operating procedures and health & safety standards
• Performing maintenance on fixtures and coating equipment
• Conducting routine checks on production systems
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area (5S)
• Participating in audits and continuous improvement activities
• Providing emergency transport cover when required

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Secondary education or equivalent experience
• Willing and able to work shifts (including nights)
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Prior experience in coatings or surface prep (training provided)
• Forklift truck licence
• Basic IT skills
