As a Digital Apprentice in their UK & Ireland Operations Team, you won’t be stuck making tea or filing papers. You'll be right at the heart of their digital world — helping shape projects, support real-life campaigns, and learn from some of the best in the industry all whilst studying for your BSc in Digital Marketing. Qualification Requirements
Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English, or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above), and:
- A Level BCC worth 104 UCAS points or:
- BTEC National Diploma DMM worth 112 UCAS points or:
- Access to HE qualifications with 9 Distinctions and 36 Merits or:
- Equivalent Level 3 qualifications worth 112 UCAS points
Preferred skills:
- Certification or working knowledge of the Graphic Design, Visual Arts/Communications, or a related field
- Knowledge of any CMS or website builders.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word/ PowerPoint/ Excel
- Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma) and other relevant design tools.
The ideal candidate would have a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Preferred A levels could include business, Economics, Design, digital media, media studies
Salary - £19,300 per annum
Annual salary review. Apprenticeship programme has a salary structure with annual increases subject to progress on the apprenticeship and performance in the workplace.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.

Job Description
This role will provide a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into the multiple aspects of the pharmaceutical operations within UCB. Working as part of the commercial operations team you will grow your knowledge and provide support for the various divisions.
You will operate in a team environment, working closely with other colleagues to ensure comprehensive and consistent delivery of business support through sharing of best practice and process improvement and alignment.
The work will be varied and fast paced. You will be supported to grow and develop in core skills such as communication skills, presentation skills, strategic thinking, teamwork and influencing other.
As a member of the team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Manage and improve UCB website content
- Manage, plan, specify and lead on digital and operational projects
- SourceClear administration support.
- Work with internal stakeholders to develop and Design graphics for digital, print, and social media, including advertisements, websites, email campaigns, packaging, and more.
- Contribute to marketing strategies
- Apply different marketing strategies to engage the target audience

Qualification to be delivered: BSc(Hons) Digital Marketing (Integrated degree)
Apprenticeship Standard: Digital Marketer
Training Provider: London South Bank University
Delivery model: Day release at London South Bank University(Elephant and Castle)
Future Prospects
The role provides an opportunity to learn Digital at a corporate level, develop strong transferable skills
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be eligible to apply for other positions within the business. The training will expose the apprentice to a wide range of skills and competencies which would make them well placed for further study or suitable for many job opportunities in the life sciences sector.
Things To Be Considered
- Please ensure that you currently live within or can relocate to a commutable distance of the site
- The individual will be working within a laboratory environment and must therefore adhere to site dress code procedures and personal hygiene standards during testing activities (e.g. correct use of PPE such as laboratory coats and glasses; and removal of all jewellery and make-up upon entry into controlled clean room areas).
- The individual will be required to handle hazardous materials (e.g. chemicals, microorganisms) and so must adhere to the relevant procedures.
- The work pattern involves day and shift working dependent upon the needs of the business.
