The Role
As Process/Integration Lead, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful integration of the new CHP facility with the existing EET Fuels electrical, steam, and water systems. Your expertise in refinery utilities, process optimisation, and system integration will be critical to the success of the project.
During the project phase, you will support the technical development of the CHP, contributing to engineering studies, technical specifications, and contract scoping with EET Fuels and third-party partners.
You will also lead the implementation of a Nominations and Scheduling tool to optimise the allocation of energy and services between EET Fuels, EET Hydrogen, EET Hydrogen Power, and external customers.
Once in commercial operation, you will be responsible for ongoing process optimisation, operational efficiency, and production loss management. You will act as the primary liaison between EET Hydrogen Power and other stakeholders at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, ensuring seamless coordination and continuous performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration of the CHP facility with EET Fuels’ electrical, steam, and demineralised water systems.
Support project delivery, ensuring that CHP outputs align with the requirements of EET Fuels and future operational needs.
Oversee technical delivery, participating in tender evaluations, detailed engineering reviews, and Process Hazard Analyses (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA).
Drive operational excellence, focusing on thermal efficiency, process optimisation, and energy management.
Manage production losses, conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
Deliver process engineering assurance for plant modifications through the Management of Change (MoC) procedure.
Lead commissioning activities, ensuring a smooth transition from project phase to commercial operation.
Support training and development of the O&M team, providing technical guidance on plant performance optimisation.
Champion safety and environmental improvements, aligning with EET Hydrogen’s sustainability goals.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
A degree in Chemical Engineering or extensive experience in refinery technical services.
Extensive experience in power generation, utilities, or refinery operations.
Strong knowledge of refinery steam, fuel, and power balances, as well as process water treatment systems.
Prior experience in energy management, energy projects, or process optimisation.
Familiarity with combustion plant operations and refinery work processes.
A track record of leading technical investigations, developing process improvements, and managing plant efficiency.
