The Role
As Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the portfolio of projects under EET Hydrogen Power, from initial development to operational handover. You will establish and maintain project governance, ensure adherence to safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets, and manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Working closely with EET Fuels, GCC, EPC contractors, and regulatory bodies, you will lead the execution of complex energy projects, balancing innovation and efficiency while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. This role involves managing both small-scale (£50k-£1.5m) and large-scale (£200m) infrastructure projects, requiring a strategic approach to program delivery, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Beyond project execution, you will be responsible for mentoring project engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring that best practices in project management and energy transition are embedded within EET Hydrogen Power.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of EET Hydrogen Power’s project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Establish and oversee project governance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) to maintain consistency and quality across all initiatives.
Manage risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies, ensuring minimal impact on project schedules and budgets.
Drive stakeholder engagement, integrating internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory partners to achieve seamless project execution.
Monitor program performance, tracking KPIs, budget adherence, and schedule milestones, while identifying areas for improvement.
Oversee financial management, ensuring cost-effective execution and exploring opportunities for efficiency gains.
Foster innovation and continuous improvement, applying industry best practices to project delivery and governance.
Lead and mentor project teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
About You
To excel in this role, you will have a strong background in program management, project governance, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, ideally within the energy, hydrogen, or oil & gas sectors. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of managing multiple projects while balancing technical, commercial, and regulatory priorities.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent).
Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
Proven track record in managing brownfield electricity, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects.
Extensive experience in project scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management.
Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance in energy projects.
Skills & Attributes:
Expertise in project governance frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to balance multiple complex projects while maintaining strategic focus.
Proactive problem solver with strong analytical capabilities.
High level of IT proficiency, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure.
