Electrical Control Panel Technician Required!
Our client is a design and manufacturer of specialised process and packaging equipment. They serve a variety of industries, including Pharmaceutical, Aerosol, Coatings and Adhesives offering a full range of services such as designing, testing, supplying, and commissioning the equipment.
Due to ongoing success, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Control Panel Builder to work alongside the Automation Technicians to produce the electrical wiring diagrams for the electrical control systems.
(Electrical Control Panel Technician) - Position Overview
- Collaborate with the Automation department to build, wire, and install control panels.
- Review panel components to ensure they match the wiring diagrams and layouts provided.
- Assemble control panel enclosures by building plinths, assembling bays, and attaching side panels.
- Arrange chassis plates according to panel layouts, coordinating with the Electrical Design Draughtsman for optimal design.
- Mount components onto chassis plates and secure them.
- Wire the control panel following issued diagrams, working with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician.
- Update wiring diagrams as work progresses and report any errors found.
- Cut openings in control panels for fans, filters, and power sockets.
(Electrical Control Panel Technician) - Position Requirements
- Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g. apprenticeship)
- Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment
- Worked in a project environment in cross-functional project teams
- Systematic approach & attention to detail
- Desire to improve and develop
- Able to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor staff

- 5 working hours per week.
