Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure?

We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Water Solutions team as we help deliver some of the UK’s most ambitious and long-term water infrastructure programmes. With roles available across several key locations, you’ll have the opportunity to support multi-billion-pound capital delivery frameworks, contributing to high-impact water and wastewater projects spanning infrastructure and non-infrastructure across AMP8 and AMP9 .

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead on the design and delivery of projects ranging from small rural upgrades to complex, multi-million-pound schemes. You’ll work as part of multi-disciplinary teams, collaborating with internal and external partners, including Tier 1 contractors and key water utility clients. This is a long-term, secure opportunity to grow your career and make a difference in the UK’s water resilience and sustainability journey.

Key Programmes You'll Support:

South West Water & Wessex Water (£8bn AMP8 & AMP9 Investment):

  • South West Water – Framework for Engineering Consultancy Services Lot 3 – Multi-Discipline Engineering Design
  • Wessex Water – Capital Delivery Partner Framework Agreement Lot 2 – Design Consultants

Severn Trent Water (£14.9bn AMP8 Delivery Plan):

  • Lot 1 Major Projects Framework – Large-scale water and wastewater projects
  • Severn Trent D&B Projects – Supporting Tier 1 contractors on major non-infrastructure wastewater schemes

Southern Water (£3.7bn Capital Delivery Programme):

  • Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Frameworks:
  • Lot 1 – Non-infrastructure water projects
  • Lot 2 – Non-infrastructure wastewater projects
  • Low Complexity Delivery Route Lot 2 (Wastewater Infrastructure)
  • SDP Lot 3 Infrastructure Framework– Delivering sustainable wastewater infrastructure in partnership with Tier 1 contractors

Working flexibly, you’ll visit client sites and collaborate with teams across multi-year frameworks. As part of our thriving business, you’ll take on rewarding multi-disciplinary projects from inception to delivery, creating innovative solutions that enhance the environment and improve communities.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Electrical and ICA Design : Undertake the design of electrical and ICA elements in wastewater and water infrastructure / treatment, such as chemical dosing, pumping stations and sludge treatment units, from conception to handover,
  • High Quality Deliverables: Produce client deliverables, including calculations, drawings and technical reports to relevant standards and procedures,
  • Site Surveys : Undertake non-intrusive site surveys and data gathering exercises,
  • Project Management: Support the preparation of project budget & programme.?

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge would be preferrable, but not essential as we will also consider candidates outside the industry.
  • Ability to work autonomously to produce the required deliverables on a project and present these deliverables with confidence to clients.
  • Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BEng or MEng in a related engineering field.
  • Working towards Chartership with a relevant Professional Institution.
