Finance Assistant – Asset Management (Infrastructure)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £29,500 + bonus + excellent benefits
Working pattern: Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join a fast-paced and growing Asset Management team, supporting the financial operations of complex renewable energy and low carbon infrastructure portfolios.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be involved in a wide range of financial activities, including monthly reporting, invoicing, reconciliations, and supporting the preparation of statutory accounts. This role offers excellent exposure to the financial management of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) and the opportunity to develop within a regulated and sustainability-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the production of monthly management accounts

Perform balance sheet reconciliations, manage fixed assets, and process accruals and prepayments

Prepare monthly revenue invoices and support receivables management and credit control

Process purchase invoices and supplier payments

Complete bank reconciliations and contribute to monthly cash flow reporting

Assist with monthly KPI reporting

Support quarterly VAT returns and intercompany reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts (IFRS / FRS 102)

Support internal and external audits

Respond to fund team queries and support regulatory compliance (e.g. Ofgem)

Ensure full adherence to internal financial procedures and standards
Candidate Profile

Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role (essential)

Strong double-entry bookkeeping knowledge

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Highly organised with strong time management skills

Proactive and capable of working independently

Collaborative team player with a willingness to learn

Currently studying or planning to start a professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)

Interest in or awareness of the UK renewable energy sector is beneficial
