An established sustainability and energy consultancy is seeking a motivated Graduate Carbon and Energy Consultant to join their Manchester-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with a passion for environmental impact, carbon reduction, and energy efficiency to launch their career in a growing, mission-driven sector.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will support the delivery of carbon and energy services across a range of commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. Working closely with experienced consultants and engineers, the graduate will contribute to energy audits, carbon footprint assessments, compliance reporting, and the development of net-zero strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the analysis of energy usage and carbon emissions data
  • Support the development of energy efficiency and decarbonisation plans
  • Conduct site surveys and energy audits under supervision
  • Contribute to sustainability reporting and compliance services (e.g. ESOS, SECR)
  • Help deliver client presentations and sustainability workshops
  • Stay up to date with emerging legislation, technologies, and best practices

Candidate Profile:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Energy, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Proficient in Excel; experience with carbon accounting tools is a plus
  • A genuine interest in sustainability and climate action
