Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Operative

Temporary Contract

37 Hours per Week (Monday-Friday, 7-3)

£12.59 per hour PAYE

Immediate Start

We are delighted to be supporting Uttlesford District Council in recruiting a Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Operative on a temporary basis. Full training and the opportunity for further learning will be provided for the right candidate.

As a Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Operative, you will join a dedicated team in maintaining and improving public spaces and scenery in the Borough.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to –

Grass Cutting

Hedge Trimming

Litter Picking

Sweeping pavements and roadsides

Edging and Spraying

Following Health & Safety policies

The essential experience you will bring –

A good level of English, reading and writing

Full, UK Licence with experience in driving a 3.5t vehicle

Desirable Experience:

Working in outside spaces

Chemical applications

Working with horticultural tools such as; chain saws and ride-on mowers

A good level of English, reading and writing

Full, UK Licence with experience in driving a 3.5t vehicle
