Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Operative

Staffright Southend are proud to support Uttlesford District Council in recruiting a Grounds Maintenance & Street Cleansing Operative on a temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated and hardworking team focused on maintaining and enhancing public spaces across the borough.

Shifts - Monday to Fri - 7am-3pm - Immediate Start

Key Responsibilities:

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

Grass cutting and hedge trimming

Litter picking across public areas

Sweeping pavements and roadsides

Edging and spraying

Following all health & safety procedures and policies

Essential Requirements:

A good standard of English (reading and writing)

A full UK driving licence, with experience driving 3.5-tonne vehicles

Desirable Experience:

Experience working outdoors/in public spaces

Use of horticultural equipment (e.g. ride-on mowers, chainsaws)

Chemical application (e.g. weed control)
