About the company:
This Building Services Design consultancy is searching for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their team to the South of Leeds. Having over 30 years’ experience of building environments and low energy designs, they offer a range of services including mechanical and electrical engineering consultancy, low carbon consultancy, BIM, and BREEAM. Working across many sectors like retail, leisure and industrial, this consultancy has several repeating clients which in turn offers the successful Intermediate Electrical Engineer the chance to progress in their career quite quickly towards a more senior role.

The team is made up of around 30 experienced engineers, designers and consultants collaborating to create energy-efficient systems in all of their projects from inception to completion. Their main priority is to always provide a high standard level of service to their clients which is what has gained them a reliable reputation in building services, thus resulting in long-term strong relationships with their customers. Using industry-leading technology such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP, they tailor systems to fit with their clients’ needs and wants. They also use Amtech, Relux and Dialux, so experience using these would be beneficial.

They’ve recently won a lot of new work, one framework being a very well reputed and known fast food chain for the north of the country, giving you the chance to work on a range of buildings with plenty of variety within the sector! If you have commercial, industrial or retail experience, we’d be keen to talk to you!

Offering reports on dynamic thermal modelling, low and zero carbon energy, and daylight calculations, it is clear that sustainability is at the heart of their projects. In this role, you will be supporting a Senior Engineer within a fast-paced environment, working on projects all across the country, while holding sustainability design at the forefront of your designs.

What they are looking for in a successful Graduate / Intermediate Electrical Engineer:

  • Around 1 to 2 years of experience in Building Services Design or similar engineering experience.
  • Ideally a Building Services Design degree OR an Architectural Engineering degree.
  • Potentially come from a hands on Electrician or Electrical Engineering background within the same sector.
  • Familiar with software packages such as Revit, AutoCAD, Relux and Amtech.
  • The ability to mix well within a fast-paced environment.
  • Desire to develop their career in Building Services.
