The Role
We are seeking a proficient Laboratory Assistant to join our dynamic team in the life sciences sector. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in the day-to-day delivery of analytical outputs, involving sample preparation and analytical techniques.
You’ll be working within a highly regulated quality system, ensuring that we meet the highest standards for both our customers and regulators.
Working hours for this role: 10:00-18:00
Working 1 in 4 weekends-Sunday contractual overtime.
Key Accountabilities
- Adhere to a structured quality system, consistently meeting deadlines even with fluctuating sample volumes, and ensure compliance and evolving customer and regulatory environments.
- Collaborate effectively within a team, following best practice procedures as outlined in the quality system to support overall lab operations
- Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of lab equipment to ensure smooth and accurate sample processing.
- Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with industry standards.
- Engage in hands-on technical tasks that support your learning and career growth.
Essential Skills & Experience
- You must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (which must include English, Maths & Science)
- Proficient in IT systems, including databases and analytical tools.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to deliver flexible and high-quality sample preparation and analytical services in a dynamic environment.
