Join Our Team as a Manufacturing Technician!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Our client, a leader in the Protein Diagnostics Division, is on the lookout for a dedicated Manufacturing Technician to join their dynamic team.
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: £12.65
Contract Length: 6 months
Working Pattern: Full Time (40 hours per week, 07:00 am - 3:30 pm)
What You'll Do:
As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the performance of world-leading diagnostic products. Your contributions will help drive global progress in healthcare. Your responsibilities will include:
- Independently managing your workload against a published plan
- Managing inventory to ensure materials are available for assigned work
- Owning and performing scheduled activities for designated equipment and functions
- Proactively identifying and implementing improvements in all areas of work
- Taking responsibility for your own work to ensure it is completed "right first time"
- Performing any other reasonable duties as required
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, we are seeking individuals who meet the following criteria:
Education:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or a relevant degree.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or related field.
- Preferred experience in a cGMP environment and workload management.
Skills:
- Strong quality & compliance mindset in a fast-paced environment
- Technical competence with machinery
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- IT literate, especially in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to learn, understand, and carry out instructions
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritising tasks
