Manufacturing Technician
Location: Paisley, Scotland
Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour
Contract: Full time, fixed-term
Hours: 37.5 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:00pm
Overtime: Available
About the Role
Are you an experienced manufacturing professional looking for your next opportunity? We are recruiting a Manufacturing Technician to join a high-throughput manufacturing environment based in Paisley.
This role plays a key part in supporting the daily manufacture of cell culture media and reagents, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high quality standard. You will work in a structured and regulated environment where attention to detail and compliance are essential.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with previous manufacturing experience who is comfortable working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manufacturing cell culture media by following established protocols and instructions
- Operating semi-automated and automated production equipment
- Performing in-process testing to ensure products meet specification
- Supporting troubleshooting of processes, procedures and product issues
- Managing multiple tasks and prioritising critical activities
- Accurately completing documentation and using IT systems and packaging machinery
- Working to defined SOPs, quality standards and Health and Safety guidelines
- Supporting continuous improvement, efficiency and departmental targets
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-throughput manufacturing environment
- Relevant manufacturing experience within a similar or related industry
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear communication skills and a professional approach
- Willingness to work overtime when required
Working Environment
- On-site manufacturing and cleanroom environment
- Manual handling, including lifting up to 25 lbs
- Standing for extended periods during production activities
- Working with chemicals and hazardous materials
- PPE and protective clothing provided
