Marketing & Communications Role with PA Responsibilities - Leading Distribution Provider, Manchester

Our client, a leading distribution provider based in Manchester, is looking for a talented and proactive individual to join their team in a versatile Marketing and Communications role that also includes PA support to the Managing Director. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the company's marketing efforts while providing high-level administrative support.

You will work closely with the Board and management team, playing a pivotal role in promoting the business both internally and externally. The role is varied, offering the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the business and the chemical industry, with room for personal and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Marketing: Overseeing website content, managing social media platforms, and creating presentations.
  • Branding: Ensuring consistent messaging, theme, and appearance across all channels.
  • Marketing Literature: Working with suppliers to design and produce printed materials supporting the commercial team.
  • Event Planning: Organising and delivering trade shows, corporate events, and company socials.
  • PA Duties: Providing personal assistance to the Managing Director, including managing travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, taking notes, preparing minutes, and filing.
  • Report Writing & Analysis: Developing detailed reports and conducting analysis for business development.
  • Project Management: Contributing to various company projects as needed.
  • Expense Management: Preparing and processing expenses.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A degree in Marketing or relevant marketing experience.
  • A-Level Chemistry (advantageous but not essential).
  • Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills, able to multitask and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with web content management systems such as DotNetNuke (DNN) is a plus.
