Night Hygiene Operative

Location: Wimbledon
Salary: £13.20 per hour (£27,456 pa)
Hours: 40 hours per week: 5 over 7 shift pattern (21:30 – 06:00)

We are in the process of putting in place a dedicated Night Hygiene team and are looking for experienced Hygiene Operatives to work 5 nights out of 7 on a rota basis.

As a dedicated Night Hygiene Operative, you will be washing and deep cleaning production areas and production equipment, removing waste and ensuring the environment is safe and hygienic for food production.

As a Night Hygiene Operative your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Work efficiently and productively to ensure all food production areas are cleaned in accordance with cleaning schedule.
• Cleaning of floors, walls, ceilings, drains, tables, equipment, machinery, food containers etc.
• Report any damage, issues or incidents to the Hygiene Manager in a timely manner to enable support and corrective actions.
• Use chemicals, detergents and tools provided correctly and effectively, to ensure all items are cleaned thoroughly.
• Understands the importance of hygiene in a food production environment and work to ensure that environment is safe for food production.
• Work with Production team to ensure hygiene work is carried out with consideration for any continuing production activities.

To be successful in your application for the role, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience.

• COSHH certification.
• Food Safety Level 2.
• Significant experience in deep cleaning within a food production facility.
• Good understanding of food safety, H&S and chemical control rules.
• Comfortable working in wet/chilled environment (All PPE and waterproof clothing provided).
