About Us
Petroineos is Scotland’s biggest and newest fuel import and distribution Terminal. Ideally located in Grangemouth, the Terminal Road Station hosts approx. 500 vehicle movements daily supported by a Tank Farm and Jetties, providing shipping and storage support to the 24/7 operation.
We are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our newly established Terminal team at Grangemouth on a permanent basis.
About the Role
The Maintenance Engineer will provide mechanical and maintenance engineering support and leadership to the Grangemouth Terminal., including managing the integrity of both static and rotating equipment. In addition, will manage tank overhaul and project construction activities, via the supervision of qualified 3rd party engineering resource.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as Mechanical technical authority, responsible for maintaining and auditing compliance with the management procedures and associated mechanical standards.
- Delegated responsibility from the Terminal Manager for ensuring legislative requirements related to mechanical/civil engineering are defined and met by the terminal business
- Lead the Maintenance team and coordinate 3rd party maintenance contractors, providing engineering support to assist the maintenance teams in non-routine activities
- Owner of Maintenance KPIs including but not limited to Inspection compliance, Preventative maintenance compliance, breakdown and backlog data, cost control
- Generate and manage the annual maintenance budget and the longer term capital expenditure requirements of the Terminal.
- Accountable for defining the technical input to maintenance and specialist contracts with third parties
- Management of stores and critical spares
- Direct the 3rd Party Inspection process to ensure compliance with the Statutory and Integrity inspection schedules, providing scopes of repair resulting from inspection activities
- Define Asset care policies for assets, covering condition monitoring, inspection and ensuring appropriate asset life plans, spares and preventative maintenance routine’s exist for all major equipment items
- Manage the planning and execution of Tank Overhaul programme, co-ordinating all in house and 3rd Party resource

- Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing experience at a professional level, ideally within a Terminal environment and with maintenance and overhaul experience
- Construction/Overhaul management skills
- Mechanical engineering knowledge – both static and rotating equipment

- Problem Solving Skills
- Strong Communication Skills

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is up to circa £66k dependent on experience level. In addition, we also offer:
