Process Operator

Monday- Friday Day shifts (40hrs a week)

Milton Keynes

£14.20 per hour

Temporary to Permanent (After 12 successful weeks)

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our client’s manufacturing team. This role involves the safe and efficient handling of raw materials, manufacturing, filling, packing, and monitoring of products in line with company standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance, with the flexibility to support various operational duties across the site.

Key Responsibilities-

  • Follow all company policies, including health and safety requirements; wear PPE correctly; report hazards, incidents, or quality issues.
  • Manufacture, fill, and pack products using batch sheets and work instructions, maintaining high hygiene and housekeeping standards.
  • Load/unload tankers, receive raw materials, check delivery documentation, and store goods using ERP system and FLTs (Counterbalance, Pivot Steer, PPT).
  • Conduct in-process and microbiological sampling/tests in line with procedures, support quality investigations.
  • Operate and monitor effluent plant, water softeners, and chemical dosing units; replenish chemicals as required.
  • Support new product introductions and improvements to methods, plant, or equipment.
  • Assist other departments, cover shifts, perform stock checks, and help with minor maintenance tasks.
  • Support emergency procedures (e.g., spills, fires, incidents) as part of the response team.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or process operator role is preferred.
  • FLT certification is required.
  • Awareness of health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Environmentally aware with good understanding of GMP & BRCGS.
  • Good time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptable and flexible with strong attention to detail.
