We are looking for enthusiastic Production Operatives to join our dynamic team at our client's manufacturing facility in Barry, South Wales! Position: Production Operative
Contract Type: Temporary, this role is for a minimum of 6 months.
Working Pattern: Full Time shift pattern includes a mixture of day and night 12 hour shifts 6-6 on a 5 week rota basis including weekends.
Location: Barry, South Wales
What You'll Do:
As a Production Operative, you will be an essential part of our manufacturing operations, working rotating shifts as part of a dedicated team. Your responsibilities will include:
Controlling Equipment: Operate equipment and systems to process chemical substances into high-quality industrial or consumer products.
Monitoring Processes: Keep an eye on process conditions, ensuring temperatures, pressures, and material flows are optimal and stable.
Learning & Development: Understand environmental regulations, advanced process technologies, and gain hands-on experience with various chemical processes.
Quality Assurance: analyse laboratory and sampling results to uphold process and quality standards.
Leadership: After a 12-month training period, you will have the opportunity to take the lead as a Lead Operator, ensuring all processes run smoothly and safely.
What We're Looking For:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
Excellent communication skills to effectively respond to alarms and team needs.
Physical capability to lift 35 lbs or more, work at heights, and in confined spaces, while adhering to safety protocols.
A proactive attitude towards wearing personal protective equipment and working in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Computer literate
At least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
A successful pass grade for pre-assessment testing
Pre-Assessment Testing:
As part of our selection process, candidates will undergo a pre-assessment, which includes:
1. Job skill assessments to evaluate foundational and personal skills.
2. Job analysis to determine essential skill benchmarks for the position.
3. Communication testing to ensure proficiency in written and interpretation skills.
