• To carry out the safe and efficient sorting of gas cylinders by the effective operation on a sort stand
• Using a 2.5 ton counter balance FLT, unloading of cylinders and banks from vehicles adding to the dedicated bays - assisting Senior Plant Operators and Facility manager on day to day yard duties,
• Some general housekeeping will be part of the role.
• The place is a COMAH site having hazards (gas, pressure, noise, cryogeny…)
• Working as part of a small team on day work in a fast moving environment.

How You Will Contribute and Grow

• Operate a FLT (Current License required), 2.5T counterbalance
• Safety-first policy - STOP for safety
• Record on documents for KPI reporting
• Operate fork lift trucks and pallet trucks safely and efficiently
• Comply with company and government regulations
• Experience in chemical/mechanical/related industries preferred
• Adopt a flexible approach to support operational needs
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment; report repair needs
• Good communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to manage own time and work clearly
• Used to working in a unionised environment
• Good health, fitness, and eyesight
• Flexible, punctual and willing to learn
• Manual handling of gas cylinders, pallets and straps
