Description
- To carry out relevant Quality inspection according to the Quality Assurance and HACCP Plans, attention to detail at all times.
- Monitor & verify the traceability system through the production process.
- Provide Quality information for SAP report purposes( e.g. Moisture).
- Shall ensure only current versions of controlled documentation are in use in the factory.
- Ensure that accurate record keeping of all production records critical to quality and product safety are maintained at all times, and available when required for review.
- To be competent in testing Finished Products within a laboratory environment.
- Work closely with the Production and Warehouse teams, generating a good team work ethic.
- Working with the Production and Warehouse teams to maintain high levels of Good Manufacturing Practice at all times.
- Working closely with the Production and Warehouse team to drive Continuous Improvement
- Assisting with corrective action implementation.
- Monitoring control of Foreign Bodies, working with the Production team to reduce risk of contamination.
- Reporting QA KPI's.
- Conduct factory audits including, GMP, Fabric, Hygiene, Glass & Plastics audits & Internal System Audits
- Collect Microbiological & Chemical Samples & liaise with the external laboratory
- Carry out microbiological swabbing , environmental, hand swabs, etc.
- Collection of samples for shelf-life monitoring or for customer sample purposes.
- Shelf life and organoleptic testing & trending.
- To be actively involved in customer complaint investigations.
- Manage the Equipment Calibration & Verification Plan.
- Manage the laboratory consumables stock control.
- Assist in Mock Recalls/Traceability Exercises.
- Shall be actively involved in Customer and Accreditation audits.
- Awareness of site GMO policy and requirements.
- To carry out any other duties as instructed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor

Profile
A successful QA Technician should have:
- Previous experience in a quality assurance role within the retail or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- An understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing setting
- Understanding of HACCP
