QC Lab Technician Nights Job Overview

An established chemical / materials company is looking for a QC Lab Technician to join the Quality Control team. This is an excellent chance to work in an industrial lab setting that values precision, safety, and teamwork. The role is working on the night shift and the hours are Monday - Thursday 6pm - 6am.

Key responsibilities:

• Test products and raw materials to ensure quality and compliance
• Prepare pre-shipment samples and maintain accurate documentation
• Support lab calibration, projects, and train fellow staff when needed
• Highlight and report any non-conforming product or process
• Uphold health, safety, and quality standards at all times

QC Lab Technician Nights Job Requirements

• BTEC or HNC in Chemistry (or similar Level 4 qualification)
• Experience in a busy industrial lab environment
• Strong attention to detail and hands-on approach
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Commitment to safety and quality procedures
• Degree in a relevant subject
• Familiarity with chemical/process industries (especially COMAH sites)
• Knowledge of ISO systems (e.g., ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)

QC Lab Technician Nights Salary & Benefits

• £14.50 per hour
• Company pension scheme (company 3%, employee 5%)
• Eligible for private healthcare after 6-month probation
• 28 days holidays includes bank holiday entitlement
