Quality Technician
- Annual Salary: £26,000
- Location: Clacton-on-Sea
- Job Type: Full-time
Day-to-day of the role:
- Check and sample incoming raw materials and perform QC analysis.
- Collate Raw Material Specifications and Certificates of Analysis, Conformance, and Concessions.
- Manage and track Micro analysis testing schedules, retests, and sample arrangements.
- Verify production paperwork before issuing to the factory and conduct QC sample taking and analysis of in-process products.
- Perform GMP auditing of the factory, internal systems audits, and non-conformance recording, tracking, and trending.
- Conduct metal detector verification, label checks and verification, and cleaning chemical concentration verification.
- Carry out swabbing of cleaned items and environmental swabbing.
- Check post-production paperwork and perform finished product sampling and QC analysis.
- Ensure finished products meet customer requirements through Micro analysis, tracking, and trending results.
- Manage delivery paperwork and issue Certificates of Analysis, Conformance, and Concessions as required.
- Assist the Assistant Quality Manager (AQM) in the Supplier Approval Process and cover for AQM during absences.
- Actively participate in the HACCP team and ensure daily compliance with BRC requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a quality control/quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HACCP, BRC standards, and relevant quality management systems.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software and systems for quality management.
