Quality General Operative

Join our team as a Quality General Operative/Quality Control Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards of product safety and quality. Working closely with our Production and Technical teams, you will support a range of duties on a fast-paced production line. This position is ideal for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct relevant product safety checks including outturn, weight checks, metal detection, and labelling checks.
• Complete monitoring documentation and upload data to the company communication portal.
• Ensure product changeovers are undertaken according to company policies.
• Manage label printing and issuing.
• Conduct routine quality checks, including cooking up products and assessing them against product requirements.
• Collect and organise samples for external analysis, including microbiological, chemical, speciation, allergenic, and environmental tests.
• Perform in-house chemical, speciation, and allergenic testing.
• Undertake pre-start-up checks.
• Ensure that all taste panels, shelf lives, and organoleptic testing are completed and recorded in line with company procedures.
• Perform other duties as required by the management team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good written and spoken English.
• Flexible and adaptable with a ‘can-do’ attitude and keen to learn.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise tasks, and maintain excellent attention to detail.
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
