Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for a new challenge in education?
Veritas Education is currently recruiting skilled and reliable Science Technicians to support secondary schools across West Yorkshire on a temporary basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have previously worked in a similar role and are passionate about supporting science education in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for practical science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

Assist teaching staff during lessons when required.

Maintain, clean, and store equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with health & safety guidelines (COSHH).

Support the development of engaging and safe practical experiments.

Ensure laboratories are fully stocked and organised.

Assist in the safe disposal of chemical and biological waste.
Requirements:
-
Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or laboratory environment is essential.

A science-related qualification (A-level or above) is desirable.

Knowledge of health and safety protocols in a lab setting.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Ability to adapt quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
