Are you an experienced Science Technician looking for a new challenge in education?
Veritas Education is currently recruiting skilled and reliable Science Technicians to support secondary schools across West Yorkshire on a temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who have previously worked in a similar role and are passionate about supporting science education in a dynamic school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for practical science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).

• Assist teaching staff during lessons when required.

• Maintain, clean, and store equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with health & safety guidelines (COSHH).

• Support the development of engaging and safe practical experiments.

• Ensure laboratories are fully stocked and organised.

• Assist in the safe disposal of chemical and biological waste.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school or laboratory environment is essential.

• A science-related qualification (A-level or above) is desirable.

• Knowledge of health and safety protocols in a lab setting.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt quickly and work independently or as part of a team.
