Science Technician

Location: Lackham

Salary: £25,304 rising to £25,835 per year, with the potential to progress into higher-graded roles

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time – 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, maintain, and set up laboratories for practical science sessions

• Ensure laboratories are safe, compliant, and well-organised

• Support teaching staff and students during practical experiments

• Manage chemicals, equipment, and stock levels in line with health and safety requirements

• Maintain specialist scientific equipment and ensure accurate record-keeping

What You’ll Bring

• A level 2 qualification or above in Science, Applied Science, Laboratory Technology, or a related discipline

(or relevant practical laboratory experience you’re keen to apply in education)

• Experience working in a laboratory, scientific, healthcare, or technical environment

• A methodical, safety-conscious approach with strong attention to detail
