Science Technician Wanted - Secondary School in Tower Hamlets

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets, starting immediately.

Role: Science Technician
Start date: Immediate
Contract: Term-time only
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London

About the Role:

As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality science education. Working closely with the science department, you'll help prepare experiments, maintain equipment, and ensure the smooth and safe running of the school's laboratories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare materials, equipment, and chemicals for practical science lessons

• Support teachers and students during practical sessions

• Maintain laboratories, equipment, and stock levels to a high standard

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and COSHH requirements

• Assist with the organisation and storage of resources

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Has a good understanding of science (GCSE or A-Level in science subject required; a science-related degree is desirable)

• Has experience working in a lab or school science environment (preferred but not essential)

• Is organised, reliable, and able to work independently

• Has a strong commitment to health and safety

• Enjoys working as part of a collaborative team
