Location: Slough
Salary: Level 4 SCP (8–12) £23,426 – £24,914 (Actual Salary)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time Only + 5 INSET days

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our thriving school community.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our Science Department and ensuring the smooth, safe operation of our laboratories.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and set up apparatus, solutions, and materials for lessons, assessments, and exams.
• Maintain and repair equipment, ensuring safe storage and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage stock, monitor budgets, and assist with audits.
• Support teachers and students during practical sessions.
• Contribute to the upkeep of laboratories and preparation rooms.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Ideally in a school, college, or university teaching lab.
• Skills: Confident with lab equipment, adaptable, reliable, and proactive.
• Knowledge: Health & Safety compliance (COSHH), safe disposal of chemicals, and risk assessment.
• Bonus: Experience monitoring budgets and stock control.
