Rate: £110 – £140 per day

A well-regarded secondary school in Romford is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Science Technician to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in Science and laboratory practice to support a busy and successful department.

About the Science Technician role:

• Prepare and set up equipment, materials and chemicals for Science lessons

• Support practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry and Physics

• Ensure labs, prep rooms and equipment are maintained to a high standard

• Follow all health and safety procedures, risk assessments and COSHH regulations

• Provide technical assistance to teachers during practical sessions

• Help manage stock levels and organise laboratory resources

• Previous experience as a Science Technician (or strong transferable lab experience)

• Good understanding of safe laboratory practice

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team
